Michelle Cameron

Michelle Cameron is the Managing Director and Corporate Controller at TransAlta.

Michelle is responsible for providing oversight for TransAlta’s financial activities, including, external reporting, tax and control framework. As Corporate Controller, Michelle ensures all internal and external reporting is completed for TransAlta and TransAlta Renewables as well as other reporting subsidiaries (partnerships and projects).

In addition, Michelle leads all tax functions of the global enterprise, and reporting. Michelle joined TransAlta in 2019 as the Manager, Financial Reporting accountable for external reporting, SOX compliance, capital asset teams and technical accounting reviews.

Prior to this role, Michelle held various leadership and executive roles within an international real estate investment company and has over 10 years of public practice experience within PwC’s audit practice.
