North Bay
The North Bay facility is located near North Bay, Ontario. The facility is a natural gas-fired combined-cycle power plant that was commissioned in 1997 to provide efficient and reliable electricity to Ontario’s grid.
The plant is equipped with a Pratt & Whitney FT8-2 combustion turbine, an IST once-through steam generator (OTSG), and an ABB steam turbine, delivering optimized energy recovery and operational flexibility.
Under a Medium-Term 2 IESO capacity contract beginning May 1, 2026 and expiring April 30, 2031, North Bay continues to support Ontario’s energy needs with dependable, lower-emission generation.
The North Bay facility includes 32.7 acres of owned land adjacent to the power plant.
