Iroquois Falls

The Iroquois Falls facility is located near the town of Iroquois Falls, Ontario. The facility is a combined-cycle natural gas power plant that was commissioned in 1997 to deliver efficient and reliable energy.

The plant features two GE LM6000 aeroderivative combustion turbines, two Babcock & Wilcox heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and a GE steam turbine, enabling optimized energy recovery and reduced emissions.

Under a Medium-Term 2 IESO capacity contract starting May 1, 2026 and expiring April 30, 2031, Iroquois Falls continues to play a key role in supporting Ontario’s electricity grid with dependable, flexible generation.

The facility includes 0.64 kilometres (160 acres) of owned land adjacent to the Ansonville Transformer Station.
