Lakeswind

The Lakeswind wind facility is located approximately 54 kilometres (33 miles) southeast of Fargo, North Dakota, in Rollag, Minnesota.

Lakeswind was TransAlta's second wind project in the United States, with the capacity to generate 50 megawatts (MW). It consists of 32 GE 1.5-MW turbines with a rotor diameter of 82.5 metres.

The facility reached commercial operations in March 2014.

Lakeswind was acquired in September 2015, with fully contracted customers holding long term contracts.
