Big Level

The Big Level Wind Project is located on approximately 27.9 square kilometres (6,900 acres) of privately owned land in Hector Township, near Westfield, Pennsylvania.

The Project was acquired by TransAlta in February 2018 with construction beginning in February 2018. It reached Commercial Operations on December 19, 2019.

The Project has a nameplate capacity of 90 megawatt and utilizing a mix of 131-metre and 110-metre towers.

Environmental highlights

The Big Level wind facility is NJ Class I, MD Tier I, PA Tier I, and VA Renewable certified.
