The Blue Trail wind facility is located southwest of Fort Macleod, Alberta.

The facility utilizes 22 turbines, generating three megawatts each on 80-metre towers with 45-metre blade length in addition to an existing three-megawatt turbine.

Blue Trail began commercial operations in November 2009.

Environmental highlights

The Blue Trail wind facility has a UL ECOLOGO® Certification for Renewable Energy. The facility is also certified in the CA RPS Program.
