Windrise

The Windrise wind facility is situated on 44 square kilometres (11,000 acres) of land located in the Municipal District of Willow Creek near Fort MacLeod, Alberta.

TransAlta presently operates all windfarm facilities in the municipality and has been a proud member of the local business community since 2001.

The facility has a nameplate capacity of 206.4 megawatts and consists of 43 Siemens-Games 4.8-145 turbines.
