Oldman
The Oldman wind facility is located North of Pincher Creek East of the Oldman River Dam. Turbines connect directly to Fortis distribution system, with one turbine sitting on the Heritage Acres Farm museum site.
The facility consists of two Vestas V80 at 1.8 megwatts for each turbine for a total of 3.6 megwatts.
These turbines can produce, on average, 10,000 megawatt-hours of electricity each year, enough to supply approximately 1,400 average Alberta households.
Oldman was purchased by TransAlta in 2021.
