Windrise Transmission Project
The Windrise Transmission Project will connect the Windrise Wind Project to Alberta’s electricity system through a 138,000 volt transmission line approximately 21km in length.
The Windrise Transmission Project will connect the proposed Windrise Wind Project substation to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System in the Municipal District of Willow Creek, Alberta.
On November 16, 2020, the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) issued their decision regarding the Windrise Transmission Project. The Facility Application was approved (25074-D02-2020) and the route approved by the AUC can be seen here.
Construction of the Windrise Transmission Project will commence in January 2021 and continue through to Spring 2021.
