On October 6, 2017, TransAlta Corporation registered the following project with the Department of Environment and Local Government, in accordance with Section 5(1) and Schedule “A” of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation:
Kent Hills Wind Farm Expansion Phase 3 (EIA File 4561-3-1478)
The purpose of the undertaking is to expand the existing Kent Hills Wind Farm facility (150 MW) with the addition of five (5) wind turbines (17.25 MW) and ancillary facilities (roads and collection system). The project is wholly contained on Crown Land in the southeastern section of Elgin Parish in Albert County, NB.
