National Pollutant Release Inventory Report

The National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) is a publicly accessible release reporting program for Canadian industry on substances released to air, land and water. Since 1994, TransAlta has submitted an annual NPRI report on our Canadian operations. The NPRI Report documents our releases of toxic substances to air, water, land or approved disposal facilities.

Toxic Release Inventory Report

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency compiles an annual nationwide inventory of chemicals released in the United States known as the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). The report contains information on the use, manufacture, treatment, transport or release into the environment of government-specified chemicals.

Since 2000, TransAlta has submitted an annual TRI report on our U.S. operations. The most recent TRI reports documents our toxic chemical releases and other waste management activities at our facility in Centralia, Washington.

National Pollutant Inventory

The National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) is Australia's national database of pollutant emissions. TransAlta submits a NPI report annually on our operations in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.
